Standard Windows Remote Access (RDP)

Open to your start menu and type the letters "RDP".

The following window will open.

Enter the remote computers IP address (provided to you by meridian or by open a command line terminal on the host computer and typing "ipconfig").

You should then be prompted with the following window, click on "more choices".

Then choose "use a different account".

 

In the "Username" field enter the user name of the remote computers account you wish to access.

In the "Password" field enter the password of the remote computers account you wish to access.

Check "remember me" to avoid having to enter these credentials every time you wish to access the remote computer.

Then click "OK" and accept any prompts that appear. 

You should now see your remote desktop.

NOTE: For mac users you will need to install a third party application from HERE.
