- Access to the Portal to enable the UC Advanced Softphone for the user.
- Advanced UC Softphone Credentials, these credentials are not the same as the credentials you use to access the Portal. The Advanced UC Softphone has unique credentials.
Activate UC Advanced Softphone
- Navigate to the users tab in the Portal and select the user for whom you are activating the softphone.
- Select the Phone Tab in the Manager Portal for the user you want to activate.
- Select Activate Advanced Softphone.
- The Success screen will load with the user's access details. This information will be sent directly to the user via email.
Desktop App
Steps on how to download and install the Advanced UC Softphone Desktop app.
1. Locate the "Welcome to your new softphone app" email.
Please contact support if you are missing this welcome email or can't find it.
These credentials are unique to the Advanced UC Softphone; they are not the same as your portal credentials.
2. The links to download the desktop app will trigger a download.
- Windows (.exe): https://advanceddl.iplogin.ca/Windows
- Windows (.msi): https://advanceddl.iplogin.ca/WindowsMSI
- MacOS: https://advanceddl.iplogin.ca/macOS.
3. Locate and launch the "Advanced UC Softphone.exe" download. This can be done for Chrome users by clicking on the download arrow in the top right corner.
4. Security will prompt you for your permission to continue. Please press "Yes" when you see this screen.
5. If you have a Mac. Drag the downloaded app to the Applications folder on macOS and double-click it.

Once the Advanced UC Softphone App has been installed, launch it and log in using the credentials you received in the email.

Note: If you run into sign in issues. Please deactivate and reactivate the Advanced Softphone and use the new credentials issues for both the mobile and desktop versions of the client.
